At the core of the Tomorrow’s Work mission is our high impact research project, designed to answer three critical questions:
- What are the skills we need to be successful in the developing economy?
- What is the volume of skills available versus the volume required?
- How can we build the skills we lack using education technologies?
From our research to date, we know that skills aren’t the only issue limiting access to and availability of good work, so we divide our advocacy and information sharing efforts into three key themes:
Mobility, because decreasing geographic and social mobility are limiting access to good work for many in middle and lower-skilled occupations.
Information, because career builders have poor information on the current and future demand for skills and employers have an incomplete understanding of skills supply.
Education, because adults have insufficient access to high-quality career and professional development.
